Holland and Belgium

Based in Amsterdam and Brussels take daily excursions to discover the heart of Holland and Belgium. Amble down quaint cobbled streets, visit flower and cheese markets, drink in the atmosphere (and beer!) and discover the history.




Day 1 – Amsterdam Arrival

After a warm welcome from your tour manager, enjoy a panoramic tour highlighting the famous landmarks followed by a transfer to your hotel. Enjoy free time before joining your fellow tour guests for a welcome dinner. Overnight Amsterdam


Day 2 – Amsterdam Sightseeing

Today join a local guide for a full day sightseeing in and around Amsterdam. Visit the Aalsmeer Flower auction and travel to the city of Alkmaar, well-known for its traditional cheese market. Today's sightseeing also includes visits to the Van Gogh Museum and to The Anne Frank House. Overnight Amsterdam


Day 3 – Delft and Kinderdijk

This morning drive to the historic town of Delft, birthplace of Dutch painter Vermeer, and equally famous for its traditional blue and white pottery. Tour Royal Delft, the last remaining factory from the 17th century. This afternoon, continue to Kinderdijk and admire the well-preserved windmills. Overnight Amsterdam


Day 4 – Keukenhof

After breakfast, depart for a full day excursion to Keukenhof and attend the world's largest tulip displays, as many as 7 million tulips bulbs bloom every spring. Away from the spring there is still plenty to see and more time can be spent in Amsterdam. Afterwards return to Amsterdam. Overnight Amsterdam


Day 5 – Brussels

Depart Amsterdam for Brussels. En route, stop in Antwerp, a bustling harbour city world-famous for its diamond industry. The tour includes visits to the Diamond Museum and the Burie Chocolaterie workshop. Afterwards continue to Brussels, the capital of Belgium and headquarters of the European Union.

Day 6 – Brussels Sightseeing

This morning, enjoy a tour of Brussels with a local guide. Visit the Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, admire the striking Gothic Town Hall and see the unusual city symbol, The Manneken Pis. In the afternoon, visit Cantillon, a Lambic brewery from 1900. The remainder of the afternoon is set aside to further explore the Belgian capital. Overnight Brussels


Day 7 – Ghen and Brugges

Depart on your executive motor coach for a full day excursion to Ghent and Bruges. Capital city of the East Flanders province, Ghent offers a charming historic centre with quaint cobbled streets and winding canals. Later on continue to the city of Bruges, known as Venice of the North. Enjoy a canal cruise and a visit to the Lace Museum before heading back to Brussels. Overnight Brussels


Day 8 – Bastogne and Wallonia

Discover Bastogne and Wallonia on today's full day excursion. Stop in Waterloo before heading to Bastogne. Visit the Lion Mound, the main monument commemorating the battle between French and English troops. Afterwards continue to Bastogne, and enjoy a tour of Bastogne Historical Centre, the most significant of all the Battle of the Bulge Museums. This day can easily be amended to include sites associated with World War 1 if required. Overnight Brussels


Day 9 – Brussels Area

Your last day in Belgium is dedicated to Belgian Beer. Head once more to Wallonia to see the Castle Museum of Lavaux St Anne. In the afternoon visit two Trappist Monasteries: Rochefort and Chimay. After the tour return to Brussels and enjoy a farewell dinner in a traditional Belgian restaurant. Overnight Brussels


Day 10 – Departure

Departure transfer to Brussels airport.
