Watch Golf: The British Open
Like all the tours on this website this one is a sample. It is based upon when the Open was held at The Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club. This club is on the coast north of Liverpool. Wherever The Open is set rest assured we will be able to provide a tour associated with it. Tours can be designed so the golfers and non golfers can attend the same tour with slightly different activities.
SAMPLE DAILY ITINERARY BELOW
SOME OF THE TOUR’S SIGHTS.
Day 1 — Arrival Manchester
On arrival meet with your professional tour guide before enjoying a city tour of nearby Liverpool with admission to The Beatles Story, see Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and time to explore on your own, perhaps one of Liverpool's stunning museums and galleries. The Walker Gallery is recommended and has works by Hockney, Turner, Degas and Rembrandt. Overnight stay in Manchester.
Day 2 — Lake District National Park
Depart on an extended guided tour of The Lake District National Park. Enjoy Lake Windermere on a scenic cruise, free time to explore typical Lakeland villages and towns such as Ambleside and Grasmere where a visit is included to the poet William Wordsworth's Dove Cottage is included. Overnight stay in Manchester.
Day 3 — Open Golf
Included group transfer by private motor coach to and from the course.. For those not attending your hotel has been chosen for its ease of access to the excellent facilities of Manchester which is arguably England's second city. Wonderful shopping experiences and excellent museums all just outside your hotel. A local guide will be on hand this morning for a walking tour to get you acquainted with the amazing things this city can offer. Overnight stay in Manchester.
Day 4 — Open Golf
Second Included group transfer by private motor coach to and from the course. Non golfers will have another free day in Manchester. Perhaps have a coffee in the place where Mr Rolls met Mr Royce. Overnight stay in Manchester.
Day 5 — Departure
An executive motor coach is provided for the transfer to Manchester airport.
