Health and Security Protocols

Health and Security Protocols for travel in a changed world.

Welcome to Our Proprietary GroupCare Program

GroupCare is a holistic "soup to nuts" safety and well-being program for guidance and practical assistance on the ground in Europe as well as prior to departing and returning home. This program is designed to work in conjunction with any university's risk management program, is accredited by the British travel industry “Good to Go” program for health and safety and is in partnership with Exlog-Global, a world leading security and risk management enterprise.

When undertaking any domestic or international travel, participants are advised that there are inherent risks in traveling abroad. Select Travel has worked with top healthcare and global risk management professionals to develop a comprehensive plan for health and safety, designed to mitigate these risks. Successful implementation of GroupCare requires the coordinated efforts of our team, our suppliers and our clients.

The risks of exposure to Covid-19 or other diseases exists in any public place where people are present. Covid-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and even death. According to the World Health Organization, those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By travelling with Select Travel all parties and travellers assume all risks related to exposure to Covid-19 and other diseases.

Below is a summary of the steps Select Travel is taking ourselves as well as in conjunction with suppliers and group coordinator, to help ensure the safety of all travellers.

Pre-Travel Checklist for Group Coordinators

We recognize that every group operator and business will have their own protocols and procedures for their travellers. In order to best ensure the health and mental well being of all travellers, we ask that all program participants agree to abide by the following minimum requirements both prior to departure and once in country.

Prior to Departure, Every Traveller Shall Have the Following

Free of Symptoms

Declared they are free of all symptoms typically associated with Covid-19 infection and they have not been in the close proximity of anyone known to have contracted Covid-19 within 14 days prior to departure.

Agree to Safety Protocols

Agreed to adhere to all recommended hygiene and safety protocol measures such as wearing of a face mask and/or gloves when asked to do so and limiting physical contact wherever possible including self isolation or quarantine should it be necessary.

Bring Personal Protection

Agreed to bring their own personal protective equipment including face masks, gloves, sanitizers for personal use, including replenishing supplies

Be In Compliance

Remain in compliance with all local and state regulations in place within their host country at the time of their visit.

Temperature Checks

Understands they may be subject to temperature checks while travelling and that registering a fever may require them to immediately self isolate and abide by the recommendations of local health officials with regard to their ongoing healthcare treatment. All costs associated with treatment will be their responsibility.

What To Expect When Travelling

Flying

Expect to wear face masks in the airport with contactless check in as far as possible. You should expect face masks to be worn throughout the flight. Food and beverage service may be limited. You may wish to bring your own if you have particular dietary needs.

Public Activities and Visits

The United Kingdom and its European neighbors have made every effort to adopt uniform standard practices of safe operation, although some local deviations can be expected. These include timed admissions to reduce capacity and distancing measures. Frequent and visible precautionary cleaning measures should be expected.

Ground Transportation

All private ground transportation used on our programs will have undergone rigorous deep cleaning every day with high touch points cleaned on a regular basis during the time of service by the driver. Private transportation will be of sufficient capacity to permit physical distancing. Facemasks are required for boarding and disembarking all private and public transportation.

Emergency Assistance 24/7

In the event that a traveller feels unwell during the program with symptoms similar to a Covid-19 infection, we provide a suite of services and experts ready to assist at any time in any city. See Below.

Accommodations

All partners will have confirmed they are in compliance with applicable government and health authority guidelines. Touchless solutions will be used where possible and employees will use face masks and gloves when interacting with guests. Certified cleanliness protocols will be in place and rigorously practiced. Travellers noting any deviation from such practices are encouraged to report it.
