This sample is based on a performing marching band but can easily be adapted for performing choirs and more. Similar tours are available on request for most European destinations. This sample gives a band the opportunity to perform on this well-paced tour through Southern Germany and Austria. 

SAMPLE DAILY ITINERARY BELOW

SOME OF THE TOUR’S SIGHTS.

Day 1 – Arrival Munich


On arrival meet with your professional tour guide for the short journey in to central Munich and to experience an introductory tour of some famous landmarks. The rest of the day is set aside to relax and settle in. Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 2 – Munich


Begin the day in the company of a step on local guide to see the quaint and historic old town featuring the city's most famous landmark, the Cathedral of Our Lady and also visit the vast Olympia Park scene of the 1972 Olympic Games. This afternoon, visit the Dachau Concentration Camp where Nazi Germany's first concentration camp was organised on the orders of Heinrich Himmler in 1933. Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 3 – Munich


After breakfast a visit is made to Nymphenburg Palace, one time summer residence of the Bavarian rulers and a wonderful example of exotic Rococo architecture. This afternoon, enjoy free time before your first concert performance at Nymphenburg Palace. Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 4 – Innsbruck


Today leave Munich behind and head south towards Innsbruck. En route visit the hilltop castle of Neuschwanstein, the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II and the inspiration of Walt Disney castle in Disneyworld. On arrival to Innsbruck, discover the city with a short walking tour. Later this afternoon, enjoy an afternoon game of Summer Curling, played on asphalt and very popular with the locals. Afterwards, enjoy a glass of schnapps in the clubhouse. Overnight stay in Innsbruck.

Day 5 – Salzburg


Today depart for the city of Salzburg, famous as the home of Mozart and the Sound of Music. En route, visit the amazing crystal factory at Swarovski Kristallwelt. On arrival to Salzburg, enjoy a walking tour and a visit to Mozart's Birthplace. Overnight stay in Salzburg.

Day 6 – Austrian Lake District


After breakfast, depart for a full day excursion into the Austrian Lake District. Discover the sights associated with the Oscar-winning film "The Sound of Music". Visit the Mirabell Gardens and the Noon berg Abbey before continuing into the Salzkammergut region passing Austria's most picturesque lakes and stopping in the towns of St Wolfgang and St Gilgen. A public performance will be arranged for today. Overnight stay in Salzburg.

Day 7 – Berchtesgaden


Today make a short trip back over the border into Germany and explore the Berchtesgaden region with a visit to Eagle's Nest and a hike in the surrounding mountains. The so-called "Eagle's Nest" was built as a 50th birthday present to Adolf Hitler from the Nazi Party. Afterwards return to Salzburg. Tonight, attend a performance at the Salzburg Marionette Theatre. Overnight stay in Salzburg.

Day 8 – Salzburg - Munich


Depart Salzburg and head back to Munich. Stop at Lake Chiemsee where you will board a ship for a visit to King Ludwig's Herreninsel Palace, a replica of the Palace of Versailles. Also take a ride on a horse drawn carriage from Herreninsel Pier to the Royal Palace. Later continue to Munich. Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 9 – Departure


An executive motor coach is provided for the transfer to Munich International Airport.
