London and Paris Theatre

Theatre has been part of London and Paris for many years so what better than a visit to these cities to find out for yourself. From the famous London West End and historic theatres like Royal Drury Lane, the reconstructed Globe Theatre,  Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon to the iconic Cabaret shows in Paris. This tour is often adapted to focus on particular theatre styles and in Paris, French theatre, with very effective English sur titles can be included.

Day 1 — Arrival London


On arrival meet with your professional tour guide for the journey to central London to experience an introductory tour of some major landmarks such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Visit The Tower of London and see the famous Crown Jewels, displayed in a specially built jewel house and enjoy a simple lunch within The Tower. Overnight stay in London.

Day 2 —  London


After breakfast visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on London’s South Bank. Tour this perfect reconstruction of this 16th century theatre and the site of the original Rose theatre nearby.  Later on expand your knowledge on theatre production with a backstage tour at the Royal Drury Lane Theatre, one of London’s oldest and best-loved theatres. Tonight attend a performance at one of London’s famous West End Theatres. Overnight stay in London.

Day 3 — London


Free day in London. Suggestions could include many other theatres that offer backstage tours such as The National Theatre but we also arrange many bespoke visits and regularly arrange meet the producer/critic talks related to the major West End Theatres, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House and more but the also the smaller off West Theatre companies such as those of The Royal Court Theatre and The Donmar Warehouse. Overnight stay in London.

Day 4 — London


As per day 3 above or can be a general sightseeing opportunity to visit one of London's many museums, most of which including the Victoria and Albert and British Museums that are still free for general admission. The opportunities for London are nearly limitless - movie and book locations perhaps ? Overnight stay in London.

Day 5 — Stratford-upon-Avon


Today set off for a full day excursion to Shakespeare’s hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon. just outside the town in the small village of Shottery stop to visit Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, the pre-marital home of Shakespeare’s wife Anne. On an included walking tour of central Stratford-upon-Avon visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the site of his burial place at The Church of The Holy Trinity. Overnight stay in London.

Day 6 — London to Paris


Today travel by Eurostar fast train through Kent, under The English Channel and through Northern France to in under 3 hours arrive in Paris. On arrival experience an introductory tour of some famous landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe,and the Champs Elysees. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Paris. Overnight stay in Paris.

Day 7 — Paris


The best way to enjoy Paris is from the river so experience a cruise on the River Seine. Continue to visit the Louvre, the most famous and prized museum in France. The paintings, sculptures and artefacts on display have been assembled over the last 5 centuries, but undoubtedly the most famous is Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Free afternoon in Paris. Evenings in Paris can be filled with visits to The Lido Cabaret, The Follies Berger or many Paris theatres offer shows with what are called sur titles that work very well. On request backstage tours of the top cabaret shows can be arranged - even Can-Can dancing lessons if you want !!Overnight stay in Paris.

Day 8 — Paris


Free day in Paris. Suggestions of visits that can be arranged are tours out of the city to visit the great Chateaux of Fontainebleau or Versailles or Disneyland Paris is easy to get to. Overnight stay in Paris.

Day 9 — Departure


An executive motor coach is provided for the transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport.
